Fission Logistics hauls skid steers, mini excavators, compactors, generators, light towers and attachments out of Mississauga for dealers, rental yards and contractors. We take machines out to the jobsite and back to the yard, across Ontario and cross border.

Equipment hauling companies: what to check
Ask any carrier these questions before a machine goes on the truck.
- How low is the deck? Our step deck lower deck sits 42 inches off the road, so a machine up to 120 inches tall rides legal without a height permit.
- Does the carrier bring ramps? We don't. Plan how the machine goes on and comes off, and tell dispatch.
- How is it chained? At the manufacturer's 4 tie down points, with buckets and attachments chained on their own.
- Who handles a wide or tall machine? Dispatch pulls the permits in house and quotes after a route check. See oversize load trucking.
- Can the same truck go to a US yard? Yes, through Detroit and Buffalo, with the eManifests filed by dispatch.

How we secure equipment
- Chained at the manufacturer's 4 tie down points. Binders are checked again within the first 80 km (50 miles).
- Buckets, blades and attachments are chained on their own, never left loose on the deck.
- Booms lowered and blocked, tracks and tires chocked, cabs locked, keys with the driver's paperwork.

Questions shippers ask
What equipment fits your trailers?
Anything that fits on a step deck, double drop or flatbed and can be chained at 4 points, including forklifts, scissor lifts and crated equipment. Oversize machines go with permits. Send the make and model, and dispatch tells you which trailer it goes on.
Do you handle oversize equipment?
Yes. Over width and over height machines go on the step deck or double drop, with permits and escorts arranged by dispatch and quoted after a route check.
Can the driver load a machine?
No. We don't carry ramps, so your site or yard loads the machine from a dock, with a loader or by crane. Our drivers secure machines. They don't operate them.
How is equipment secured?
Chained at the manufacturer's 4 tie down points, with attachments chained separately and tracks and tires chocked.
How tall can a machine be without a permit?
Up to 120 inches on a step deck, because the lower deck sits 42 inches off the road. Taller units ride in the 32 ft well of a double drop, and dispatch tells you if the load needs a permit.
Can you deliver to a jobsite with no dock or loader?
Only if something on site can lift the machine off. We don't carry ramps, so the site needs a dock, a loader, a forklift or a crane. Tell dispatch what is at both ends when you book.
Do you move equipment between Ontario and the US?
Yes, between Ontario and yards in Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky, crossing at Detroit and Buffalo. Dispatch files the ACE and ACI eManifests, and your customs broker clears the machine.
How fast can you quote an equipment move?
Within 1 business hour, 7 am to 5 pm ET, Monday to Friday, for a legal load. Send the make and model, the weight, the size with attachments on and both addresses.
