Fission Logistics is a flatbed carrier in Mississauga, Ontario. We haul steel, aluminum, pipe and building products around Ontario, to Quebec and Western Canada, and into the US. Every load we haul goes on a Fission trailer under our own authority, whether a company driver or an owner operator is pulling it.
How we got here
We started in 2012 with 1 truck. By 2016 we had 20 trucks, and that year we bought our first 20 Rolltite trailers. We've built the fleet around Conestogas ever since.
By 2020 we were at 80 tractors and 110 trailers. Today it's 80 trucks and 140 trailers, including 16 multi axle curtainsides that carry heavy loads a tandem can't legally take.
We move about 16,000 loads a year and have moved over 100,000 shipments since 2012.
What we haul and where
We haul steel coil, structural steel, rebar, aluminum and pipe. We also take building products, machinery, dies, construction equipment, oversize loads and the odd load of lumber.
We load in Hamilton every working day and run Windsor daily. The GTA, Kitchener, Cambridge and London are regular runs. Our trucks also go to Montreal, Quebec City, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. In the US we run Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana and Kentucky, crossing mainly at Detroit and Buffalo.

How we work
Dispatch prices your load and runs it. Safety looks after the trucks and the drivers. Both work out of our building on Meyerside Drive, and dispatch picks up the phone 24 hours a day.
