Stamping dies and die sets, presses, robots and robot cells, CNC machines and machine tools, conveyors, electrical cabinets and skidded production equipment. Most of it moves plant to plant. Heavy pieces inside Ontario ride our 6 axle units up to 86,000 lb.

- How tall can it ride without a permit? Our step deck lower deck sits 42 inches off the road, so a piece up to 120 inches tall rides legal. Taller pieces go in the 32 ft well of a double drop.
- What does each trailer carry? Up to 45,000 lb on a step deck, 42,000 lb on a double drop, and 86,000 lb on a 6 axle inside Ontario and into Michigan.
- Can it stay dry? A Conestoga takes pieces up to 102 inches tall and wide under the cover. Taller pieces ride on a curtainside step deck or double drop, or tarped on an open deck.
- Who pulls the permits? Our dispatch, in house, for Ontario and each state on the route. The permits are in the price. See oversize load trucking.
- Can the same truck cross the border? Yes, at Detroit and Buffalo. We are CTPAT validated and PIP and FAST approved, and dispatch files the eManifests.
- What is the claims record? A claims ratio under 0.1 percent across over 100,000 shipments since 2012.
How a machinery move goes
- You send the piece, its crated dimensions and weight, the tie down points and both addresses. Dispatch quotes it and names the trailer.
- We don't carry ramps. Your rigger loads the piece from a dock, with a loader or by crane, and our driver chains and blocks it.
- For anything over legal width or height, dispatch pulls the permits, books the escort and quotes after checking the route.
- The driver calls the receiving plant before arrival so the rigger is ready.

- What the piece is, and how many pieces
- Crated length, width and height, measured at the widest and tallest points
- Weight of each piece
- Lifting or tie down points, with a photo or drawing
- How it loads and how it comes off at the other end: dock, loader, forklift or crane

A die needed on the press Monday can go Saturday, and the plant gets a Samsara link to watch it come in.

Step deck or double drop, which one?
A step deck takes a piece up to 120 inches tall on its lower deck and carries up to 45,000 lb. Anything taller rides in the 32 ft well of a double drop. Send the crated height and weight and dispatch picks the trailer.
Can you move dies between Ontario and US stamping plants?
Yes, dies between Ontario, Michigan, Ohio and Indiana plants are regular work for us. We cross at Detroit and Buffalo, we're CTPAT validated and PIP and FAST approved, and we file the ACE and ACI eManifests.
How is machinery secured?
Chained at the lifting or tie down points and blocked front and rear. Cribbing goes under the base when the shipper asks, and rubber belting under chains on finished surfaces.
Can the load stay dry?
If it fits under the cover, it rides dry in a Conestoga. Pieces up to 120 inches tall can ride on a curtainside step deck, and taller ones can go in the well of a curtainside double drop. On an open deck we tarp on request, or the shipper shrink wraps it.
How tall can a machine be without a permit?

Do you move machinery on weekends and during plant shutdowns?

Do you supply the crane or riggers?
No. Your rigger or the plant loads and unloads the piece, from a dock, with a loader or forklift, or by crane. We don't carry ramps. Our driver chains and blocks the piece once it is on the deck.

A legal load is priced within 1 business hour, 7 am to 5 pm ET, Monday to Friday. A load that needs a permit is priced after dispatch checks the route, and dispatch tells you when the price will come.
