AZ flatbed driver jobs in Mississauga
Company drivers get paid for every mile and are home every weekend, except on a Western Canada run. Fission Logistics runs 80 trucks out of Mississauga. We haul steel, aluminum and building products in Ontario, across Canada and into the US.
The job
2 ways to drive with us
The freight and the dispatch are the same. You choose company driver or owner operator.
Company driver
| Miles paid | Every mile, empty and loaded, same rate |

| Long runs | Most of our Quebec and Western Canada runs go to company drivers |
Owner operator
| Fission covers | Dispatch, the trailer, insurance, plates, tolls and IFTA |
| Settlement | You keep a set share of what every load pays. Safety gives you the number on the call |

What we need from you
- AZ licence and 2 years or more of experience.
- 25 years old or older. This is an insurance requirement.
- Clean CVOR and driver abstract.
- Able to cross into the US.
What a week looks like
In most weeks you haul steel coil out of Hamilton and aluminum and building products around the GTA. You also run into Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania and cross back at Detroit or Buffalo.
You do your own trip paperwork and deal with dispatch, the shipper and the receiver. You should know the basics of chains, straps and coil racks. We train you on our written procedures.
Most of our trailers are Rolltites, so most loads need no tarp. Every truck has Samsara. Dispatch can see where you are, so they don't call you every hour.
Our safety record
Our insurer, Northbridge, rates us an Elite carrier. That puts us in the top 5 percent of Canadian fleets for how we manage safety. We are in the CTPAT, PIP and FAST border programs, so you can use the FAST lane at Detroit and Buffalo when the load qualifies.
