What moves on our trucks in Windsor
Windsor freight follows the auto plants and the greenhouses. Dies and machinery move between tool and die shops and stamping plants. Coil comes in for the presses. Auto parts move between suppliers on both sides of the river. Out by Leamington and Kingsville it is steel for greenhouse builds and farm equipment.

Dies, moulds and plant shutdowns
Die and mould moves in Windsor tend to happen on weekends and during shutdowns, when the press is down. Send dispatch the die size, the weight and the window, and they book a step deck or double drop for it. Our step decks have a lower deck about 42 inches off the road, so a tall die that would need a permit on a flatbed often rides legal. Leamington, Kingsville and the greenhouses
The greenhouse belt around Leamington and Kingsville builds and expands all year, and the steel for it is long: columns, trusses and gutters. It rides on an open flatbed so it can be loaded and unloaded from the side. Farm equipment rides on a step deck or double drop. If a sprayer or an implement is wider than 2.6 m, it needs an Ontario permit, and we arrange it in house. See oversize and overdimensional.
Crossing at Detroit
Detroit is our main crossing into Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, and Buffalo is the other. Most loads cross on the Ambassador Bridge, and dispatch uses the Gordie Howe International Bridge when the lane calls for it; Fission has a Gordie Howe Breakaway account. We are CTPAT validated and PIP and FAST approved, and dispatch files ACE and ACI on every cross border load. On Canada bound loads dispatch confirms the bridge with your customs broker before the ACI eManifest is filed. Your customs broker clears the freight.

Windsor freight runs east on the 401 through Chatham Kent and London to Kitchener and Cambridge, the GTA and Hamilton.
