Cargo liability

Fission's liability for loss or damage is limited to $2.00 per pound ($4.41 per kg) of the total shipment weight, or the actual value of the goods, whichever is less.

Full value coverage

For more coverage, ask when you book. Full value coverage is quoted load by load, and the declared value must be written on the bill of lading before pickup. Without it, the $2.00 per pound limit applies.

Claims

Give written notice to claims@fissionlogistics.com within 60 days of delivery, or within 9 months of the ship date if the load was not delivered. Note any visible damage or shortage on the delivery receipt, and keep the goods and packaging until the claim is reviewed.

Not covered

Fission is not liable for lost profits, production downtime, delay or other indirect losses, unless agreed in writing before pickup.

These terms apply alongside your rate confirmation and bill of lading. If they differ, the rate confirmation governs.
